Hello! Happy Saturday! And HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wishing you all a wonderful 2022….normal can’t be far away, can it?! LOL! I’ve forgotten what normal is anymore so I’m hoping for a year of calm and happy thoughts!!
And books! Of course! Where would we be without them?! And this past week has been a much slower bookish week for me – I ran out of reading puff! So just 3 finished this past 7 days – to bring me up to 240 books finished in 2021! – and just 1 book in… I’m awaiting the delivery of my Waterstones sales spree so will post that up later!!

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE HISTORY OF WOMEN’S SUFFRAGE by SUSAN B.ANTHONY

In 1881, three writers and rights activists, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Matilda Joslyn Gage, came together to publish the first volume in their groundbreaking History of Woman Suffrage series – a series that eventually went on to fill 5700 pages and lend weight to a movement that changed the course of history for ever.Taking its dedication from the first volume of the History – to the memory of pioneering women whose ‘earnest lives and fearless words… have been, in the preparation of these pages, a constant inspiration’ – this volume collects together four essays that give an insight into the work as a whole, and provide a rounded introduction to the history of women’s suffrage on both sides of the Atlantic.

Whoever came up with the idea of the Waterstones half price hardback sale is an (evil) genius. Given all the book haul posts I’ve seen I’m surprised they have any books left!
