MY REVIEW

This was a fabulous read! It was fun, sexy and full of sparks that it just made me want to pack up and head to Vegas…. I might meet a Smithy while I’m there! He’s one of those guys that is a bit of a lad, and full of himself, but that seems more of a front than anything. Underneath you know there’s a big softy just waiting to get out!

And in this book he has his eyes on Mya! She’s a lady full of secrets, and he’s party to the biggest secret, but how long will he stay quiet!? And why hasn’t she told her friends the real reason why she’s over in Vegas to begin with?!

This is a fabulous setting for a story!! It’s full of glamour and there’s lots of mystery and intrigue going on and the group that are thrown together are bound to clash with the varying personalities amongst them!

While Mya and Smithy are in Vegas they are both there for the same reason, and – trying not to give away any spoilers! – it was really fun to see how their relationship progressed. Mya is a bit of a hard one to read at times and glimpsing behind the bravado shows us her other side and shows the best way to deal with the sexists amongst the group! Never stoop to their level and hit them where it hurts!!

Another great book from Lucy, featuring a feisty female character and a storyline that zips along and keeps you fully involved! Loved it!!

Hi, I’m Lucy Keeling and I am delighted to be back on Karen’s blog to talk

about Just Friends in Vegas. Thank you for having me back Karen, I really

appreciate it.

Just Friends in Vegas is the third book in the Friends series – but don’t

worry if you haven’t read the others as it can be read as a standalone.

Sophie, Polly, Mya and Paige are friends that have been in each other’s

lives for quite a while. They’ve seen each other at their worst, but more

endearingly they help each other to be at their best. In book one the focus

is on Sophie as she reluctantly starts to fall for Polly’s older brother,

Marcus the grumpy but sexy gardener. In book two we focus on Polly and how

her feelings for her brother’s best friend Bailey change drastically after

one fake kiss, as she questions whether or not their fake relationship can

remain fake. So, in book three the focus is on Mya and her super secret

career.

Mya is gorgeous, confident and absolutely amazing. I have adored writing

about Mya. So many people have contacted me, asking to know what Mya’s

profession is. Luckily it’s confirmed pretty quickly in Just Friends in

Vegas. But I also don’t want to give it away so I can’t say much else.

Other than Mya may have met her match with Smithy. He’s the designer

suit-wearing, smouldering, intelligent, swoon-worthy hero she didn’t know

she needed.

Writing about these two has been a wonderful experience. It has not always

been easy – no, in fact it was incredibly difficult in – to write and edit a

book over the last twelve months but Mya and Smithy have definitely made it

worthwhile.

So sit back, relax and I hope that the banter, the charm, and the erm

*cough* sexual tension of these two make for an enjoyable read.

Another fabulous read from Lucy Keeling! I adored the ‘will they, won’t they’ thread of Polly and Bailey as life kept throwing curveballs their way, and throwing them together in often compromising positions!!! It is a follow up to ‘Make It Up To You’ but can easily be read as a standalone!

Bailey sounds like the kind of man we’d all be queuing up to be his ‘fake girlfriend’ – supportive, flirty, close to his family and a gardener (clincher for me!!) – so when Polly volunteers to help stop his family asking too many questions about his love life what could possibly go wrong??!! A lot it seems! They’ve always got on well and confided in one another about things they don’t share with others, but the more time they start spending together then the more time they can’t stop thinking about one another! Not so good if you’re with someone else like Polly is!

The characters of Polly and Bailey are so sweet! She has a secret passion and lacks confidence to share with those around her, but has a good group of friends who are all brought together in the run up to a wedding so maybe it’s time she started opening up more. And Bailey is worried sick when there’s illness in his family so he’s been relying on work and flirting to distract himself He seems to be one of the good guys of the world.

This was one of those books that you find yourself racing through and I was unable to put it down once I started reading, and it was the perfect mix of romance and humour and I hope we get to hear more from the characters in these books in the very near future!

Wow!!  This was one sizzling read and I’m still a little hot under the collar after the chemistry between Sophie and Marcus!!  Where do I go to find a gardener like Marcus!!?Serious book boyfriend crush!!

Sophie and Marcus have known each other for years. Marcus’ sister Polly is her friend and he’s always seen Sophie as high maintenance! With a blossoming career on YouTube as  a make- up vlogger, she is totally focussed on raising her profile and reaping the rewards.  You just wish sometimes she’d step away from the camera sometimes and have a bit of fun back in her life!When the idea of using Marcus in the videos, it’s hoped to raise the profile of his gardening business and when he appears on camera her numbers shoot up!! Could this be the start of big things … for both of them!!

I just loved how much fun this story was! Using the vlogging aspect really made it feel up to date, and any mention of gardening gets a big tick from me so it was great to read things from such different business and career viewpoints. Marcus was kind of stuck in his ways on how to advertise his business, so having Sophie there to advise him on the benefits of using social media was an eye opener for him.Sophie gets a little too obsessive at times over the numbers watching her channel, and even her parents want her to get a ‘proper’ job! But she’s very determined to make things work – I just loved how Marcus makes her see that there’s more to life than getting videos uploaded and watching subscriber numbers!

The chemistry between them is there for all to see – even more so when there’s a camera rolling and filming their time together!! I loved every single page!!  Really excited to read more from this author in the future!! More hot gardeners please!!
