This is Book 2 in the DI Vincent series, but my first and definitely won’t be my last! The shocking opening had me hooked straight away, and the author has done a great job at exploring the world of online dating and delving into the darker side of human behaviour.

When women start going missing after going on Tinder dates, the police, and families, are left to wonder just what is going on. This starts off a game of action and suspense in every chapter as the story cleverly switches from the normality of daily life goings on giving you a glimpse behind various characters, to the POV from the main investigators – DI Vincent and DS Josephine Jenkins. I loved how these 2 characters worked so well with one another, from their banter to their way of going around trying to find out what is really going on.

As more bodies keep appearing the twists and turns ramp up, and I found myself getting suspicious about everyone at some points as you’re left thinking one way one minute, and another the next!! It really is cleverly written and it just keeps you guessing throughout.

There are many different threads to the story which help keep the interest in all the characters but it never becomes too overwhelming with the different POV’s. It just keeps the story flowing nicely as there’s always a new angle to explore, or new pieces of evidence shedding light on the latest investigation. And with the world of online dating now more prevalent it really gives the reader more connection – and scare them off going on a dating app EVER again!!!

I also found the attention to detail spot on as it gives you a greater vision of the settings and the nuances of each character, which made it much easier to connect with and want to know more about them all. The tension was always there and it was really cleverly executed!! Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a psychological thriller that takes you on the ultimate rollercoaster ride, then look no further!! I was guilty of forever telling myself, ooh just one more chapter, as I raced through this as I just couldn’t tear myself away from these characters and the situation they found themselves in!

Lindy is one of the main characters and her life has been turned upside down after a terrible accident. She had it all, but now she’s full of rage and bitterness. She’s plagued by memories of how wonderful her life was before, and soon becomes fixated on Mia, the glamorous wife of a local tv personality, and becomes convinced that they’re meant to be in each others lives for a reason….. she just doesn’t quite know what that reason is just yet.

Their lives soon become entangled, as you see the stories behind both Lindy and Mia and all is not what it seems underneath the surface! I loved that you got to see different sides to them as you found out more about their lives – there’s some seriously disturbed minds in some of these characters!!

The more Lindy finds out about Mia, the more obsessive she becomes in finding out more. And the more she learns about Mia and her husbands relationship, the more involved she becomes.

It’s dark, pulsating, tense and full of suspense and captures the mood of modern life perfectly! People being manipulated and how obsessions can blur the line between fact and fiction, and I found myself intrigued to see how things would play out as horrors from the past were revealed and dealt with. You see this bond between the women but wonder what it is really based upon and it was quite disturbing when things began to spiral out of control! Such a brilliant read!!

Another pulsating read from Sadie Ryan! One of those stories that has you gasping with shock over certain decisions by characters, and then wondering just what you would do in the situation they find themselves in!!

Gemma and her husband find themselves in dire straits – their accountant has done a bunk with all their money, and the HMRC are circling for money owed and they face losing everything that they’ve worked so hard for. The only way Gemma is coping is with the help of a glass of wine or two – anything to try and make the problems go away. If only it was that easy…..

When a stranger then offers her a solution to all her problems, she wonders what the catch is! As did I! But he says no strings attached, just companionship. Desperate times often call for desperate measures!

What follows is the struggle she faces keeping up the charade with her husband, who clearly wants to help but she doesn’t want him dragged down any further, while dealing with Jake – is he a knight in shining armour, or does he really have an ulterior motive?

I loved the twists and turns along the way with this story! The story delves into her past which portrays her in a different light and it’s full on psychological warfare with some dark twisted minds being exposed! The tension really builds nicely and I had to hold my breath a couple of times it got so edgy!! It’s dark and often unsettling – more please!!

Yay for twisty thrillers!! And this is another fabulously gripping read that I haven’t been able to put down since starting it, as I was just eager to find out what would happen next and how it would all end! And the twists didn’t let me down!!

Tina has the perfect life – great job, wonderful husband, lovely children – BUT that’s all about to change at the same time as Megan Pearson starts working at the law firm where Tina is hoping for promotion. Her professional manner starts to slip – she forgets things, misplaces important files – but is it her or is someone else setting her up for a big fall?

Tina is an intriguing character – beneath the glossy, successful exterior she alludes to secrets that she’s been keeping from her husband. Does he need to know? I know I wanted to find out, but it’s all cleverly played out that you’re kept waiting for things to fall into place and those secrets to be revealed.

The arrival of Megan at the firm immediately gets Tina on the back foot and she’s suspicious from the offset. But everyone else at the firm, including Tina’s husband Glyn, adores the new recruit and Tina begins to wonder if maybe she’s overthinking things or maybe she’s just going mad! She’s driven to extreme measures at times to try and prove her theories but Megan always seems to come out smelling of roses so maybe it is all in Tina’s head?!

I loved the pace of this story – they way it plays out you’re constantly wondering just who is to blame, what went on in the past, and why would this woman have it in for Tina in the first place if she was manipulating the situation she found herself in. A cracking thriller!!
